DH Series, Desuper-Heating System & Valves

Desuperheating refers to the process of lowering the temperature of the superheating steam that maintains the perfect gas state to the desired degree of overheating. The degree of overheating than the saturation temperature is indicated by the temperature difference between the overheating temperature and the saturation temperature.

The temperature control valve supply calculated quantity of water directly into the superheated steam through spray nozzles. This process allows the cooling water to rapidly evaporate by absorbing the heat from the steam. The result of this interaction is a significant reduction in the steam’s temperature, effectively optimizing the steam for its intended industrial application.
